A study out today by GetResponse, an email marketing firm, shows that adding 'share' links to your emails will increase click through rate by at least 30%.
The study tracked 500 million emails sent and compared those that included sharing on Facebook and Twitter to those that did not. When emails included 3 links to share the content, click through rates climbed to more than 50%, but only 11% of emails sent actually included three or more sharing options.
The conclusion? Add Facebook and Twitter share links to any emails that you send out to your customers and you will increase engagement. If you don't know how to do that, email me and I can tell you how.
